my uninhibited self

i'm fed up with george strombolopolous: my (unhidden) contingency analysis (is fair and valid at least. . .)

cbc has decided to air commercials that this guys show begins in sept. Sure, lets say the guy is talented for the sake of it. . . but for those of us that love to hate how crappy he does interviews by asking such brilliant questions are really looking forward to more of it.

I turn 31 in a week.

==========

^What is your view of a first class organization exactly? I suppose it is not a community based tenure, which from your account, Asper has first hand knowledge off the paper trail of bookkeeping.

I'm not so much aware of how complicated most epipheral winnipeg's contingent to Aspers plan actually are. Therefore, let us contain one thing when it comes to pigseye or papazoola's 'ourbombers_like_stand'.

This is a mock-trial version of the present situation:

Bauer wants nothing, that is, nothing more than a sweetheart deal that winnipeg's 'community-owned' citizens will blindly agree to. . . this is possible only because most 'unwilling' to adopt Bauer's master-elite-bomber-we-wanna-be-rider-fans-brain-dead-but-we-will-obey hypnosis (you are getting very_very sleepy. . . ) are people such as pigseye or papazoola. I am strictly using them as examples, because those bomber-elitists that partake on boards such as ourbombers pretend they are "community owners" and degrade any attempts of outsiders as mere outcasts that want our dirty paws on the team. Therefore, you play the victims as pawns right into Bauer's plan for a hand of poker, only you are the cheaters pretending to play the game. What this does is enables Bauer to have a distance between any opposing forces, that holds true to Bauer's vision of a BoD's that work for him in a pyramid scheme. Only, you've adopted the vision as if you are a sanctity to the elite-Bomber-machine moto, "If you're not with us you're against us." - HOW'S that for a "first class" (in your words. . . ) organization.

It is absolutely blasphemous that we are a community owned team, when half of the same group that embodies ourbombers message board completely undermine the meaning behind it. (What assembles a true community owned team is the opposite.) I think I have proven my point of concern for this topic rather articulate, instead of just compliling a bunch of words praising a would-be owner in waiting.

= = == =

Also, this kind of momentum shift in what blind-bomber fans require, is a reality check, based on the dellusional mentality brought upon by Lyle Bauer's infamy of sorts.

First, consider we had a type of agency that oversees the conditions of Bauer's contingency plan to sell the Bombers. This follows that the instant return for a potential buyer is divided: one part is for the owner, to the second part the seller (Bombers) which in all effect is still "community owned". The seller awards such a legal transfer of what the return is based in the same cost that the province pays an equal sum (joe tax-payer).

What this means is that essentially, the Bombers are a community owned team, with Asper at the helm, because legally Asper has allocated a match sum in the amount that the province agreed to lease (matched) cost to build a new stadium.

What we have is this:

Asper takes control of the team 50%+1.
The community retains 49% of all over head costs (...this means the team is in Aspers control, from which asper agreed to match in financing a new stadium). Much of this is similair to True North, that Mark Chipman had Nova Con in order to incur costs to build his Eaton's (MTS center). The fact of the matter is Asper will do exactly the same thing at no cost to him, only profit. That's it. Just PROFITS. Funny how community ownership, has no incentive, but all the power and expertise when it comes to profit motive are excused?

Think about it, now think about how profit motive (Bauer) only undermines a community owned franchise?

Quote:
After watching the woeful coaching duo of Doug Berry and Offensive Coordinator Kit Cartwright go 4-12 since the midseason of 2007, President & CEO Lyle Bauer has stated publicly that he will do absolutely nothing to improve the situation. Instead, he has sat idly by & allowed the Bombers stock value to plummet to the lowest value in the league. The Bombers currently have a 1-6 record, the worst in the CFL.

^This acts as a perfect illustration of what logic follows. That backwards thinking, would not allow a team in such a present state. It is inexcusible. Without mentioning Bauer, the BoD's should be working for a community based team, however, the profit motive acts as a conflict of interest in doing the right thing. Therefore, the problem is Bauer in fact. There is absolutely nothing preventing this from taking place, in which case the BoD's would remove. Again, this isn't the case.

===============

Finally, the sad case is such Bomber-elitist belong in the same smaller-bracket of Saskatchewan Football Mediocrity, which I refuse to support. However, I am in a minority and I accept this.

Tell me, if you were in Asper's position and I were to tell you. . . the lease on a potential new stadium involved? The knowledge of the agreement would include a 25 year term of allocations on the first part to the 'community owned' team, the second part (Asper) is to match dollar-for-dollar every cent to the nearest dollar the value of the team as it increases. (That would be the cost of the team. . .) over a 25 year term. Tell me, what would Asper say??

Yeah, I thought so.

P.S. I invite every bomber-elitist to deny^ everything I wrote here, and sell out to your lord_Bauer.

===================

This thread is rather ominous of the panda-bombers season thus far. . . a well staged trainwreck.

===============

By the end of this season, no grey-cup, no play-offs, then what???

If Bauer were man enough to face the challenges himself, this BoD's would have no trouble in dealing with Bauer as anyone else. Therefore, the issue here isn't one of community ownership, it is Bauer hoping the fans are selling out to Asper wearing a Bomber business suit. If the fans are willing to sell out to a monopoly; we are still a community team with members of such that hardly feel it is worth a BoD's lunch buffet.

If the market in real-estate is turning a profit, and Bauer wants to broker that mortage to a potential investor. . . the fans deserve the first say. The problem is, Bauer is not working for the fans, yet not one person is willing to listen this linear pattern of thinking.

====================
It's hard not to agree with blew's commentary. Once Ryan Dinwiddie replaces Glenn, Glenn is coming in to round out another 4 maybe 5 wins tops. We aren't confusing Glenn with what reality may be left this season.

=====================

Of course not. Why buy it. Again, nobody was blaming Glenn or Cartwright for those losses when they happened. They simply weren't performing well enough. The point here is that Glenn might have good skills at play calling, we just don't know yet.

====================
Yet no one is questioning Glenn's credentials. Your argument is a red herring, we're simply refuting the fallacy. . . that Glenn might have 'good enough' ability (i.e. calling-plays) but it's not a sure thing to win us games or more specifically put us at an advantage. As of now, we're not even arguing Glenn's play calling ability is putting us at any disadvantage.

See. . . nice and open.

So Glenn deserved all the blame when your team was healthy, Cartwright was calling the plays, and you were losing, but he deserves none of the praise when he calls his own plays, the team is injured at several key positions (including receiver), and the Bombers win?

I don't buy it.

The lack of faith is a question you have to deal with. I have faith that Kevin will do as I've predicted and continue to improve at both his playcalling and his personal on field leadership and performance. Time will tell, but I find the game much more enjoyable from my perspective than yours, so I'll just stick with my assertions and let the future give the answers.
Best,

The jury is still out, but I still think Glenn did a good job calling his own plays in his first outing. He managed to feed Roberts the ball consistently, resulting in Roberts's first breakout game of the season. That's something Cartwright failed to do in every game previous. If Bryant doesn't drop a sure TD catch, Glenn's calls look even better.

Of course, Glenn has a long way to go, and the real test will be how he performs against better teams than the Ti-Cats, but I don't see how anyone can dispute that the playcalling was a positive step both for Glenn and for the team.

Great, now look at what we got for a discussion.

The argument is not whether Glenn had a good, or great, game against Hamilton, I think we all patted him on the back for that one. The point is the bigger picture of how it is being assessed. Quote by billyjimbo....."The great thing is that he's going to get better at it as he continues"; another....."The lack of faith is a question you have to deal with", and another....."but I find the game much more enjoyable from my perspective than yours". You sound like a Leaf fan! Here's a reality check for you, Glenn WAS great, okay? That was a while back, so don't give me that hogwash that he is only going to get better in time, he ran out of that a year ago, about the time he got that stupid windfall of a raise.

I'll get to the bigger picture in a second here but first let me clear up something. I WANT like heck to see this club rattle off five or six wins, advance through the playoffs and win the Grey Cup as I have always wished in the forty-five years that I have followed them. But it simply will not happen with this year's club. You can hack Glenn's .ini file and put him in 'God Mode', and it still will not be enough to send this club over the top. It has too many issues in spite of him.

So enjoy your perspective, have faith, and with any semblance of reason, you will forgive this sad waste of talent called a team as they win possibly two, probably three, and at the MOST four games of their next eight.

Honestly, what are the issues? The D started the season very poorly but has looked much more like their old self in the past few weeks. The offense is starting to find a rhythm and should only get better once go-to guys like Edwards are healthy and Picard gets a few more games under his belt. Lobinda (sp) is doing a stellar job replacing Simpson. Glenn is calling his own plays, negating the ineffective Kit Cartwright. The only issue I can see is the placekicking, but even that should resolve eventually.

You have got to be kidding me. The defence started poor in the beginning of the season and are looking like their old self now? Only twice have they NOT allowed 400 yards in a game, both against Toronto, whom they played their first game with. Let's see, June 27, Toronto, 261 yards. July 4, Montreal, 531 yards. July 11, B.C., 511 yards. July 18, B.C., 529 yards. July 24, Calgary, 427 yards. August 1, Toronto, 314 yards. Aug 8, Montreal, 452 yards. August 14, Hamilton, 415 yards. So which old self do they look like now?

Anyway I love the fact Picard is back, he is a real catalyst of spirit. Lobendahn has been playing stellar, as if he has been fitted for a few years. I think our defense still stinks, our special teams stink, and our offense is, well, offensive. My guess is that the chemistries of the players and the coaches are not compatible, resulting in the players not giving it their all at times. Just a hunch. We need a rat out of the locker-room to let it all out. Or we can send Westwood INTO the locker room to find out!

What I find curious, is how a person attemtps to justify the term "community ownership" as if it is a negative thing, only that the obvious answer is going private.

You people can thank glenn all you want. Only because Glenn called his own plays, it doesn't mean what's resulted that his game has gone to a higher level.

hammerbutt is either a fan of the Riders or voted for Al Golden as city council.

If someone could tell me how much we've established, through the possiblity of a hierarchy structured in the connect the dots world of BoD's boardroom? (I suppose hammerbut would wash his hands clean of it.) It is rather ironic of me to say so, in "factuality."

Sometimes, in hammerbut's case what sounds too good to be true, keeps himself from listening. That's fine by me.

==================

The real problem is where the truth lies I'm afraid. Here's the problem (as of right now. . . ) zoo' in my opinion, this isn't about "putting up a fight" because nobody really is. What we're really admitting ourselves to is a post-dated funeral. If you can grasp the logic behind it, if you think about what might be at fault here. Again, we're not necessarily taking a circle reinventing the wheel so to speak. In factuality, there is a critical purpose to this which is hypocrytical of us not to notice the issue. The reality is this. . . if you are willing to separate the Bomber's (which I think you are) based on a mortage that Bauer is the adminstrator of, do you not see a return of profit if you decide to sell your home in the future? (I suppose logic would dictate the better of the answer.)

Now here is where you as an example zoo' (like every other fan) fail to stand on one leg. If you gravitate toward the cause, in this case, Bauer's selling of the potential marketability of the Bomber's as CEO (. . .let us assume this is what we can live with. . .) you've essentially given up your intial right to sell your home at what the cost should be. In the future, if you decide to break the mortage agreement, you cannot - because Bauer somehow managed to con you. The way this factors into a -real time- analogy. . . is that once the target of the mortage payment has been established, Bauer seizes full control of whatever the cost of the home you purchased. (Remember, you bought the house at a wholesale mortage price, the list price, then goes up in the future, but because Bauer said "you only need to pay this much" you agreed in principle that he manages every cent of interest no matter the value of the house by the end of the mortage.)

If I could. . . 11:50pm

have lived my life in Portugal, like I was meant to be born to, I know I'd be the happiest man alive. For some reason, I only live in winnipeg to take back what is rightfully mine in life. This is to say, my experiences of the kind that only I’ve made, that I’ve become, that I’ve given to, are not all done in vain. In spite of what that may mean to most people, my heart belongs in the old country. I've never fully been happy as I could be here, in Canada, where so much opportunity seems only narrow-minded or to a shallow kind of modesty to most people my age.

A lot of the individuals I've grown up with, especially those of Portuguese decent DO NOT impress me in the least. Friendships, are something I value highly in life, but in my heart, I know god has sent me here for a reason. . . though not to execute those that undermine their privilege living in Canada. My purpose is to reverse the alienation I feel, without permitting others to do so in retaliation. It is an example I lead. Many people, I do not speak of as in name, do not hold such high esteem to political beliefs such as I have of. . . I suppose this is what makes me different in many respects. I speak on behalf of myself as that person. I chose to live my life with a quality most people hardly recognize; but I am a fighter to the cause.

Religion plays a very small role in my life, because, what I believe is in my family, my manhood, and my virtue.

I could name those in sequence that have betrayed me in no sense of the word, but why bother. . . this is my personal image, and I fully intend on being a human of the highest order. We are not belittled by those that do not bother to be human. I prefer to live my life with such candor-rally-strategy.

As I turn 31 later this month, all of these things are bridging a gap in my life. But they are not things, they are rational judgments, not to be confused with as mistakes. If I say, I would have loved to live my life in portugal because I would be happier, it is a choice I'd still have to make in reality. However, being educated in this country, and observing the culture for what it is, allows me to undertake in this self-examination of the facts. The truth be told, my main concern, are not of primary interest of many unlike myself. What I write here is all I have witnessed, encompassed throughout much folly. Perhaps, it is an awakening to result in what I truly have become. . . the importance of good vs. evil that I should only benefit from. Perhaps that is the disguise which, so many fail to anoint themselves to or appoint their transgressions under. Perhaps, I am lost in a maze that many find themselves in but choose to make a blind attempt at escaping.

For whatever the reason is, I look forward to my journey home.

tequilla sunrise

Here is the encouraging aspect about what we're actually agreeing to disagree on:

the bomber BoD's are not working for the city right now. They are working for lyle voo-doo doll bauer. The premise behind a community owned team is completely poisoned.

The contingent of lyle bauer's voo-doo BoD's will sway in his favor, as long as the empire's money belt is being worn. Quite the contrast when you alphabetically put Lyle Bauer's name at the head of the list, or has that point completely evaded most Winnipeger's idolatry of borderline mutiny??

(I suppose that would be the case.)

In my own defense, Lyle Bauer has orchestrated everything along the lines of characterizing this Bomber-coup as a lovely wrapped little package. Perhaps, only I say that if Bauer wears the pants from gucci-in-drag, as all you faithful that post on ourbombers covet so much. I'll be more than happy to take what I can get, eh?? If that logic fails the BoD's voo-doo brigade of laywers on Maroon's Rd. Let me tell you something zoo+pigs. . . it is a sad day in hell. It tells me something about each and every Bomber fan that neglects their own civil authority, yet, allowing Bauer use the BoD's to write a superfluous storybook. (If you're farmiliar with the infamous Oedipus Complex, we are being blind. . . except Bauer is laughing himself to sleep at night.)In that story, much the same in case you are unfarmiliar with Oedipus Complex, the moral of the story is that Oedipus defiles his own eyes as to learning the truth that his offspring is that of his mother's. In fact, the opposite is true of Bauer, when you really use your intellect, (which may be hard for some of you judging by your messenger-Bauer's intellect. . .) Oedipus went to great length's to find out the truth, as he rightfully deserved to know. Instead, Bauer doesn't even give the fans a fighting chance, he's made all of you so apathetic you fear it.

The truth might be, you can't handle the truth.

bigc~

P.S. If you enjoy Troy Westwood/Matt Sheridan/ and the silly feuding on Maroons Rd. take a back seat of the Rider Bus.

If people in the city realizing Murphy’s - law of what can go wrong will go wrong - nothing has held more true. . . just watching this under achieving 2008 collection.

We do not however need a cover-page of SI, in order to have a say . . . in the peer-pressure of such a community based organization that's developed a football tradition. In fact, the truth becomes rather ironic, seeing that a tornado is the one thing standing in the way of promise.

This is why such reason is mistaking a natural disaster from taking place, cannot even compare to the departure Lyle Bauer would face, if he were to step down as CEO of the community based procurement.

If you've ever seen the movie Major League, it is about a mlb team Cleveland Indians, where the CEO Rachel Phelps wants to use her authority in order to capsize it's fan base in return for a major profit. The plan was simple it had the makings of a Hollywood ending, where life (Lyle Bauer) was imitating art. What ends up happening to Rachel Phelps master-ideology of choice, was that the fortunes of a losing baseball team destine for the cellar became a group cohesive effort. They were supposed to be a terrible team, but instead through collaboration coupled with the desire to win came through.

If we could accuse Lyle Bauer of script writing, we can also say he stole the print from the pages of Rachel Phelps verbatim to the story in Major League. We do not pretend this is life imitating art in Winnipeg, but when it comes to Lyle Bauer, the initial crowning of the king is getting awfully close.

If you do not want a king of false pride and even more or less false perdition . . . each and every bomber faithful is being taken for a ride because of Bauer's infiltrating role reversal upon the fans. It is a peril of interest that you as a fan do not digest Bauer, let him digest YOU. It is reverse psychology at its finest hour.

LONG LIVE THE KING.

I say off with his head!

Read my post about 'Major League' the movie is as analogous to the Bombers brass this season. It's gone on too far, Taman has to go. No time like the present, that time is now here. We're going nowhere.

Seriously, I need a distraction on this board from the futility that the Bomba's have since caused.

That being said, a nice diversion from the horrible/terrible/tragic reality that is - here are some topics I'd like the chance to rejurgitate the sorry bunch of born-again cfl_nerf_balls we call a football team.

First up . . . Brett Farve. Filthy rich, gets his time to shine as the reborn Joe Namath in disguise. Green Bay should have treated this guy better.

Second. . . Leah Hextall is now on TSN. I knew from the moment she'd deliberately alienate her fellow cast members from Winnipeg's CTV affiliate, that she was pulling up her sell-out pants to Toronto's kiln. Unbeleivable what this chick gets away with, in front of a live television feed no less.

Finally, Beijing/Olympics. I didn't care when China got the games. . . and I sure as hell still don't.

Bare in mind these are thoughts that any of you should add to.

This season I've become more aware than in the past - such focus on elite minded individuals (such as Bauer,) I choose to face Bauer with a dose of his own medicine.

That's right folks. . . the bigc is heading from my computer screen right into your tsn-false-dichotomy dreams.

If any of you are catching it. . . tsn is presently undermining the best franchise in the history of cnd football right under our very noses.

How proud it must make you all, to feel slighted by the same group of individuals that bring us Bauer's full proof leadership ability???

In case you've missed it. . . some journalist from tsn, brought us a story involving Troy Westwood's true to life article, that Doug Brown rebutted. In turn, we get the coverage Winnipeg so desperately covets from the Toronto based pleasing, not so friendly, foreign to everything in every context.

Simply put. . . the other shoe has finally dropped.

Welcome back, old friend.

===================

That's right, this might be our only hope to salvage a year gone kerplunk. I don't know what else to say anymore.

My disdain for Lyle Bauer, pulling an "indian-giving" stunt to sell out our team with a "Nothing can't be sold. . . " would make the late Mr. Kern Hill proud.
I still believe that firing Bauer is the first step we need to take, he's going nowhere near this scrap heap, the Bombers deserve better than Bauer.

The departure of Matt Sheridan, has me wondering if he's protesting for what Roberts needs are in the backfield, or what ever else it is to do with his complaining-style lack of attitude (probably the latter). If this team required an answer, maybe it's through prayer before priority, because the priorities are slipping pretty fast down to last place in the CFL. . . right up there with Hamilton. It's ridiculous how the Argo's actually beat us last night.

Unacceptable.

Good post zoo.

I find it hard to put dinwid at fault, considering our OL are playing like a bunch of shriners on high-dosage of meds. I can't believe the lack of protection dinwid had last night. I mean the kid deserved better than that. Bob Dyce better kick these guys in the tail, even if that has something to do with Sherdian going awol on the team.

We're short of protesting for a new OL. (Read above post^)

====================
Honestly, our OL is a joke right now.

====================
Gawd, I feel awful after that loss.
======================
^Yeah, screen passes are an effective weapon against the Bomber defense. I'd better hold the phone on that one, we'll dial it in for the rest of the season.
=======================
Someone - someone please feel my pain regarding the bb OL. . . I mean, really.
The best position in football, where you get to kick the crap out of the guy in front of you, and what do we get???
====================
I still find it hard to accept, that argos d-line. . . so inept vs. sask. made us look shameful as it did. I simply don't understand it, our OL were handed to us.

==================

I still do not feel Roberts is to blame for a running game. The defense did everything we needed and still couldn't count on our offense. Our offense is a total failure this season. Unreal.

Last week, the Toronto d-Line was a complete joke, yet our OL couldn't measure up????

I kid you not. . . The Argo d-line couldn't kill a rodent last week, yet they managed to make our OL look lost in Toronto.

Taking the OC out on an 8ball is probably best considering the awful production on offense. But during the season????

====================
This was an outright disgrace. I'm just so disappointed right now. The defense showed up though, I loved how Canada played. . . again.

===================
Up to the Grey Cup in TO against Rider-pride, the defense were a marvel to watch throughout the play-offs.

===============

Here's the thing: I like the Mr. Blue Bomber. . . it sounds the way it should sound.

I just love the fact that when milt is on the field, everybody knows it. He just does what he needs to.

================
I also see Gavin Walls out frequently, the guy is an unsung hero, say 'hi' to our team. . . they're good guys.
================

There's no way we're not doing this thread. The td king is back, for our first game as fans. . . I mean, could this really be avoided??? I think not.

On another note: I regularly spot Dinwid and Arms. out. Tonight on corydon. . . I spelled it out for RD, '3 tds in TO.' He gave me that Crest white stipes smile. Arms. is a professional, but he also would make a great drinking buddy, which I love about only select people, he's truly a humble man. I could see by Dins response why the coach says he's a smart player. Ryan just looks confident in himself, and has a great attitude. If you see these guys out, they're humble, they don't stick their necks out, and they deserve to be a part of this community.

If Milt can do it with us, we can help these guys out to.

===================

That's not even a comprehensible question.

lock thread, please.

================

This is a vital game for the Bombers, and from what our defense has been doing, the secondary has improved somewhat. Our D-Line is still the best in the CFL. I hope that Marshall installs the blitz packages all game long.

=================
I agree that the excuses are wearing long on the tooth. Roberts has to step up or his game will be in question.

The alarming part of this season is now behind us, which was looking at Kevin Glenn for his lack of maturity. Berry was able to put that fire out in a hurry, before finally doing Glenn a favor by making Dinwid our #1. I have never seen this kind of coach in winnipeg, that pulled exactly the right strings on what to do. It was quite a magic trick.

Going into TO I expect nothing less than a victory.

===================
This guy is making his name known in the cfl already. The guy has all the tools, and he's got serious athletic ability.

Now that the mini coup-de-tas took place inserting R.D., Berry took a liking to what his receivers brought to the table. I suppose we can look forward to seeing a running game developing, and watch for Roberts to get going.

==================
After watching the Riders/Argos play on Sun., I have to say that the Argos D-line is a joke. They got manhandled on Sunday, not even a sniff.

================

I'll be extremely, I mean extremely surprised if the Bombers fail to execute a running game on Friday. That being said, I fully anticipate Roberts will run baby run.

=================

Roberts is roberts. Honestly, he's the last guy I'd be worried about. The running game issue was not the problem to an 0-4 start, now because things should turn around. The runing game is only now thrust into the lime-light seeing some of the other problems on off./def. were of primary targets. None of it had to do with Roberts, he'll be back into form. . . once the rest of the team is in order. We couldn't use a weapon such as Roberts the way things were going all around, it was not his fault whatsoever.

=================

Oh come now. The endorsements for Crest white strips would be phenomenal to say the least. Crest would have a selling frenzy on their way with people binging off them just to see Dinwiddie using their products. First 10,000 fans at Bomber home games = would get the official Wpg. BB dinwiddie crest white strips. I mean nothing - I mean nothing could possibly beat that.

================
That's great news. I've been missing Edwards until Thur. The guy is a class individual.

=================
Thanks for sharing that, you have no idea how that dumbfounds me in my ability to express. . . just what happiness is. Khan deserves it.

====================

Bryant/Armstrong/Edwards/Franklin

mad props to Edwards who really impressed me. I especially loved Armstrongs fire in the match-up, he played brilliantly.

The receivers came out to prove a point, that they're Montreal bound with the best of them.

NO advice needed your team has only one a game right. Once and If your team wins another come back and we can discuss further LOL.
The good points of that win are:

1) The bombers found a QB
2) Their receivers put extra effort to help the kid will it last not sure
3) Takes the heat off for one week the coaching staff
4) The Bombers found out they are in need of a running game
5) The guys filling holes for the injured are doing their job.
6) Thats hope the stamps like always get distracted from the game before they play the riders.
7) The bomber players must keep this up or this team is in big trouble.

Personally, I love using Stamp druken poet as my references.

The points you make are quite good actually.

=================
i'm not going to let this much needed/anticipated victory slide. . . therefore we're pulling out all the stops.

First up, Ryan Dinwiddies new nickname:

nate (god love him) from ourbombers has touted DinRicky, I on the other hand find crestwhitestrips far more banal.
====================

Thanks for asking us_fan. (You should wiegh in on several opinions re; randall.) From what was seen in pre-season, the guy looked dynamite. He had great athletic ability with the ball, especially his running.

==================

Kahn deserves the accolade. Crest_white_strips showed us what he had in college. The question now is resolve on the field, unlike last night.

dinwiddie proved me wrong, with the reads he made he didn't force the ball.

Full marks.

===================
I have to say: the Roberts comment seems to catch me off guard. The team has been lacking as a whole, Roberts is not the reason whatsoever

ALWAYS SO NEGATIVE MAN, YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE BANDWAGON JUMPERS I MENTIONED IN MY POST, GET REAL BUDDY. WASN'T IT YU WHO WANTED RANDALL TO START? YES!! AND I GO TO EVERY BOMBER PRACTICE AND I CAN TELL YOU RANDALL IS FAR FROM READY, MAYBE HE'LL HAVE TO WAIT 2 YEARS LIKE DINWIDDIE "OUR NEW STARTING QB" LIKE IT OR NOT BUT YOU ARE WRONG AND YOU JUMP THE BANDWAGON WAY TOO FAST MAN.

Do you care to tell me in BIGLETTERS, just how a team that went 0-4 with now 1 win makes not only myself but the rest of the world 'bandwagon jumpers'? It frightens me.

As for Randall, I believe he should be put in to do things that are being asked of our other qb's, but if they're not being done. . . then go to a younger person who will listen to what is being asked. I think I made myself clear on that.

And no I don't enjoy being called a bandwagon type; when I take what I believe is right, then apply it not as criticism but constructive. I suggest you do the same, unless of course you post on ourbombers. . . but I'm not the kind of internet user that supplies special rules to those that do not qualify. Those - those my friend are the real bandwagoners, that don't feel they can be challenged.

==================
How it must feel to be a Bomber tonight.

Romby Bryant really looks superb, a true baller.

Aside from that, what's more important is that Kevin Glenn got to see us win again. I think this pulls up aces for us as opposed to the 'winning changes everything' philosophy Doug Brown alludes fans with.

The fans deserved this tonight (since Novemeber).

It's hard to imagine, but Berry made the right call with Glenn. Kevin looked at peace tonight, for the first time in a very long time. It's good Glenn still in a Bomber uniform, gets to watch Dinwiddie score.

^All this makes way more sense then everything else to this point.

I used to have friends that now only care about is how much the other guy makes. Why, you ask is this relelvant? (Beacuase. . .) When players stop playing for each other, they gamble selfishly on the field each forgetting about their teammates. (This is what I KNOW happened with Kevin Glenn at 300k) while not losing as a team. As teammates you get paid to unconditionally achieve results even without a victory. Those are the true leaders as in what Jesus taught.

When Dinwiddie was clebrating and his OL where surrounding him in the 4th qrt., the OL had to take a step back. This was after all dinwiddies moment. The hogs still need a leader though, even if dinwiddie totally ignored them, because he thought they were sharing his joy. They weren't. You may also notice this team needs to pull itself together.

Remember what you saw tonight Kevin. That's the feeling of a winner. The moral of the story is evident of that, dinwiddie's dream came true. (Not so much someone else's.)

=====================
No - no - no, that's the thing, don't look ahead to the future, so far dinwiddie has his 1st cfl win. What happens now is up to the coaching staff, whether or not they dedicate the offensive strategy to compensate dinwiddie's natural ability. That's a big 'if' they do it.

I hope so.

=====================
I meant it was Serna's 3 missed field goals!!!LO!
====================
Good call pigs_eye. It took us game five only, but the fans tied this one on tonight, it was nice to watch happen.

==================
The game for dramatic effect is long over due, since the GC loss, this is the one thing that gave back to the fans. . . FINALLY.

I was disheartened to see Canada smack D.Brown, (I guess Burris should have got in the way more.)

However, this victory was more for the fans deserving it, as much as Big Doug believes we like to think 'winning changes everything.' No, personally speaking, winning does nothing for me. I prefer unity over winning on any given day. The players were really showing sour until they actually showed up the first time in over half a year.

That's the real story line here folks.

====================

That was a display of good team concept, I feel for the coaches. As happy as I am for the players, I'm glad the players tied one on for the coaching staff. It was ugly, but we'll take it.

=================
I agree. Each game gets tougher, not easier.

===============

The final drive of the game by Calgary, had a total prevent defense all the way through to the copeland's td. I mean, what was the point? We basically said, throw the ball where you want it.
==============

The receivers came out guns a blazing. Which was nice. Teams are going to easily contain Dinwiddie's passing tendencies, tonight was a beginning of something, but only perhaps.

==================

dinwiddie to bryant making that adjustment to the ball in the 4th (late). (I'm sure everybody overlooked it.)

Nice int. by Malveux.

It feels good to be 1-4, it was exciting to watch the Bombers tonight.

==================
No point in trading anything.

================
In less than 48 hours, unless dinwiddie has a knack for ball control offense, which I think won't be happening. . . then there is no reason to suggest that a younger qb wouldn't be able to do the things we need to.

Let's go on a narrating adventure

You're absolutely right about this, mike. I would make you an apology, but that is only reducing the natural state of human desires... my reason for saying that is simple. There is nothing 'natural' about what this event in fact makes. It's very make-believable acutally, and believe me I've been trying to make sense about how I feel with regard to the horror without having (thank god) a true to life experience. This is as close as true to life as it should ever get for anyone god forbid.

What I'm getting at is this. . . I've tried my best to rationally examine what issues I feel are relevant enough in encountering the dysfunctional reality. I think it's healthy for me to use Vincent Li as a personal scapegoat, to pursue some form of comfort in a psychological nature (for myself) when attemtping to come to terms with Li's psychotic episode. I suppose it's a model for the time-being, that the effect something like this has on the victim of this tragedy.

I guess what I've concluded is far from satisfactory, but if we're talking movies, I'd relate more with what happened in Dead Man Wallking if we're equating real life analogies with fantasy.

===================

^if you get this first part, then read on to this second part. . .

In chinese culture, if you completely accept (the contradicition of a crime you commited) then you automatically assume it is your duty/responsibility to yourself (i.e. dignity) to execute yourself. You are not only doing a service to yourself as a spiritual entity, but you are doing the right thing in the eyes and ears to status quo.

However. . . (this is the 3rd part of my opinion)

that in western culture, if you take apart the dichotomy of (chinese influenced eastern thought. . .) you must now take full responsibility for your actions and live with the consequences. For the most part, here in western culture, we degrade individuals instead of realizing the potential for healing power. Therefore, in this case Vincent Li if he were in Chinese totalitarian rule, he would be punished by means of Socratarian philosophy. Which is to say, Socrates would drink the hemlock given to him by the state, even if the state were wrong to do so.

In this country, knowing the chinese tradition is a distinction unlike most 'western' functioning ideoloiges. All this relates to is that the eastern way of life, any person who is shamed unto the community which they live have no meaningful existence when compared to western thought. Today, I am of the opinion. . . to restore oneself in a means of 'irony' as if you must return to the eye that made you commit the crime.

========================

This individual in my sympthatic outfit was in fact, 'out of his tree'. . . which is not to say what he's done is unforgiving of him. This man clearly has done something that is the worst case imaginable. To trust he did this on such inconceivable grounds, warrants a definite awakening of the publics interest to help those with mental illness in a favorable light.

========================

I actually see the police not as subject to ridicule, but for the floundering use of tasers as a comedy of errors:

specifically. . .

that the police force (in the case of tasers) are a civil authority. Therefore, if one incident were to incriminate a police officer use of the taser, means everyone that uses tasers are invalid. . . that makes the argument a slippery slope.

On the other hand if tasers are used in the same manner, that is to say legal-use-of-tasers continue to defile the public interest as a lethal device (there runs the course of another slippery slope. . . ) but in this case the unmarked deaths that result in the cause of those fatal to it.

I'm with hap. Clinical, is not an abrasive term, mind you. Do not punish yourself, BEFORE, making a decision to go. Act now. Then face consequences, later. It will be the easiest thing you ever did for yourself. Thinking about the what-could-be is a lot to deal with for people going through a time like yours. However, if you act responsibly, also taking it one step at a time. If you fail to do so, you will run the risk of minimalizing whatever the chance is in discovering/unconvering your dilemmas. Remember, this isn't about deflating depression, it's about feeling why you feel 'defeated'. It is for the same reason you will face your issues.

People in general feel intimdated when they get depressed mainly because they're confused without the clarity, becomes a major stumbling block, but it's not an obstacle that can't be overcome. Positive influences outwiegh the negative outcomes or potential pitfalls that deceive your better self. To better yourself you achieve results in thinking differently + seeking alternatives in order to cope.

In the meantime, focus on what you need to prepare for as if you were 'willing' to talk it out/ this is an ongoing thing you will learn to get better at doing. You need to pretend that whatever it is your hiding from yourself, can be talked about outloud with someone. You may be surprised with what you gain/learn in your experience. Do not internalize this (negative thoughts), so it becomes a defense mechanism. Otherwise, you'll be projecting everything against yourself rather than be willing to share it openly and honestly (. . .with some form of treatment.) Remember about 'you' is the 'me' doing the treatment.

In the process you'll find ways to deal/facilitate with what it is that's bothering you. Start from the inside out, rather than going to the outside in. Coming it from an objective manner will reinforce the negative impact/energy stopping you from doing what you should be doing.

that would be EXACTLY what the Joker is...read the comics. The Joker isn't meant to be funny, he's very scary, in fact, because he is a sociopath in the extreme. Then dress him like a clown - you have a terrifying villain.

As far as the voice on Batman, it's what he does...I just didn't understand why he was doing it with people who knew his identity, lol. That seemed holy retarded. Otherwise appropriate.

Also, Batman kind of is like an anti-hero, only in that he can be very unlikable (again, read the comics) as opposed to some of the other, friendlier superheroes.

I honestly appreciate your thoughts, so not to disagree with you. . . however. What I meant by the portrayal of this joker in the dark knight, is that he was played to an extremity of sort. The sort of thing that to my estimation, seemed brutally over played as if I started to EMPATHIZE with the joker, but not as a super-villain but as a human being that has immeasurable mental/physical illness. Please, don't underestiamte what that means (again. . . I'm not disagreeing with your interpretation.) However, what I felt in my personal afflicition with the joker, I seriously forgot I was watching a super-villain, I'm not joking. I'm not sure if I'd be the one person who felt that about it, but I'd be inclined to see if people that read this would say, "Hey - I got that feeling to."

As for Batman, I said enough of Bale's performance. I didn't buy it one minute.

I found it a bit hard to get through what you were trying to say for most of your post, but understand what you're saying and pose a question to you based on your last sentence:

Were tasers not brought in, in the first place to be used as a tool that stood between just plain old jumping on the guy and using the gun? A tool to be used as a NON-LETHAL weapon? I would believe that the deaths that have occurred as a result of using tasers was not the intention of the police officer.

I don't know who has the power to stand up first and say this issue needs more looking into.

Your last sentence is your first problem.

Second, I agree with you, I couldn't put it any better myself. . . A taser should absolutely be used as a NON-LETHAL weapon. To answer the purpose of your question, in even lesser detail than I already have.

It appears the main topic of concern, is that no choice can be made to 'kill' someone unless (the officer's intent) is holding a NON-LETHAL weapon. How curious that is, which is to say, anything used as an accessory to purposely prevent death should be the officer's main priority. Tasers act as a satisfactory tool in serving that. Again, I agree with you. (Remember, we're using your line of thinking/linear pattern for logic.)

^If this is all true: the main question now becomes (which you haven't attempted in even ASKING. . . ) Why should tasers be used as LETHAL weapons?

In your opinion, lethal weapons, does not constitute as tasers. Which in my opinion is completely false, given the exact origin of what you fully described, can only jeopardize a potential victim of being shot with a stun-device also causing DEATH. In fact, you have failed in answering the same question I asked, which was: should tasers be used as LETHAL weapons. You dismissed it (again using your logic) that tasers are meant to be used as non-lethal weapons, therefore, the intent to kill a person is not at all present. In question the reality is, that, tasers should not be used even as "non-lethal" stun-devices which would cause death. If you say tasers are not lethal, you've avoided the question entirely. Which is exctly the anti-thesis against which the police are doing.

The right thesis: is should tasers be used as weapons? (police avoids question.)
Answer: tasers are not lethal. (which they are.)

It takes a genius to see this exaclty as it should be.

=====================

Quote from: Vegas on July 31, 2008, 04:58AM

So Tasers ARE the issue....

I'm asking this, because I'm not sure what the regulations are: Is there a level of the officer's security that has to be reached before a taser can be thought of as an option? Ex. A cop won't pull a gun on someone he just pulled over for going 120 in a 100 zone. Not in Canada anyways.

^^first read what hap says.

Secondly, it reinforces my own subjugation that questions, specifically, the intent that any officer carrying a weapon (in this case tasers) has in using an 'alternative' to imposing any use of tasers. The risk of altercation between a person that might need an officer to deploy tasers, right now is not contingent with any reprimand, based on the fact "tasers are safe". That should tell you, any police action if it requires a reasonbale use of force is taken into consideration. For this purpose a dichotomy that tasers should be used or not, is not even a question they're being asked. The level of incomptence, therefore, widens the scope of how 'practical' can tasers be used if it can also be applied as a LETHAL hand held device??

That can only tell you, as in the RCMP tasering a man to death in Vancouver, that the force used only made the assailant a victim of police discharging a LETHAL WEAPON. The case in favor of tasers could only provide evidence that they should not have been used, even if the protocol suggests otherwise. Tasers should be strictly enforced as a categorized lethal weapon.

The scenes of Bale were hovering on absurdity, as if batman were an actual villain or anti-hero. Some of the scenes involving batman were borderline - I felt it was the scenes where batman has monologues were poorly executed - I just didn't believe Bale was Batman at all.

Then of course. . . the joker.

Everyones favorite super-villain, I think they did a good job in making him terrifying, but at the same time oddly enough likable. The problem with the joker was that he seemed more as if a purturbed emotionally psychotic individual, than another super-villain having fun. . . which disturbed me. Nobody is supposed to like the joker - but I think everyone in the theatre liked him best. Therefore, the plot by the end leaves you wondering if the joker outlives batman, which was anti-climatic but unpredictable a story-line. I was disappointed by the end of the movie, otherwise watching 2 morons facing each other was worth the price.

Cops without tasers, means tasers are safe.

^ What this means is in the public interest, either take away the use of stun-devices or subject them to the status of lethal weapons. . . not just the 'alternative' to hand-guns.

We're totally oblivious to this right now.

==================

Tasers are not an issue. What is an issue is that any form of stun-gun device is potentially as lethal as a hand-gun. The debate must be given its proper context, otherwise it flies over the radar, and is therefore meaningless.

If people in the public awareness of stun-gun devices, were to hold a referendum on whether guns as in this case "Tasers" are in fact lethal? I would say the answer is a resounding 'yes'. Second, are stun-devices just as prone to killing people as would the use of a hand-gun. . . again the answer is 'yes'.

Now the question:

The question as (I have identified. . . ) that hand-guns equate with the use of stun-gun devices, should be placed in the same category as hand-guns? Again, the answer is 'yes.'

What all this means^ is that stun-guns have been deployed with a trial basis of being used resulting in fatality CAUSING death. IT IS not a QUESTION of whether police had the right to (-such-and-such- a ?reason?) to deploy the use of a LETHAL weapon. Therefore, if stun-guns are identified as LETHAL weapons, there must be a clear prohibition to justify the use of such a WEAPON.

Right now, Tasers are not presented as lethal weapons when you turly think about the QUESTION (. . .given the nature of when should "Tasers" be deployed?. . . ) is a flaw in the police system. Until we in the public interest cohesively reject the idea that 'tasers are a safe alternative' the police will only tell us it's meant for our own protection. When the reality is, we're being lied to in the sense that stun-guns aren't lethal. They in fact are as lethal as bullets, that inject voltage into a persons body.

How blind are the masses to this??????? The news isn't going to spoon feed you what to believe here.^

Quote
What I figure for me is though, when it comes time for me to find a home, i'll compare the prices to location and if the prices are too high just outside a city, i'll move a bit further out in the country.

Was talking to this guy who knows a guy who bought a plot of land, looked around for a house that was going to get demolished or that someone didn't want, paid 5 grand for the house, paid 20 grand to move the house to the plot of land. Lived there for a few years, fixed it up, then sold the whole thing for around 700,000.

^These are the types of arguments that only lead to no certain kind of solution, nor is it addressing the real problem of such incremental value.

========================
What I was explaining is that in a country such as ours, with the quality of life we share, it's unacceptable to me. . . that we should live in a society that is blind to the acts of corruption. In this case, my virtual personal welfare as a consumer of a residential property.

The potential of such increase in a sky-rocketing real estate market place, is two fold, because people will pay whatever the cost.

I also provided my own view that the government (because all property regardless of it's ownsership. . . ) is crown property. In that case we live within a society of ignorant socio-economic individuals that may or may not act irresponsibly due to their lack of income, combined with poor spending habits. As result this increases the risk of inflation, and the effort to deploy or decrease the average price of homes based strictly on what it's worth. . . requires an agency to oversee this contradiction.

The equity people have compared to the real estate as it stands today are eye gouging to say the least. It needs to stop. We're not talking about infringing about people's rights, it's about taking government action for reasonable social policy. I blame people that are going to the banks (banks/do nothing to provide solutions) but mortage their property for a 20-25 year term. In the process the 'investment' reduces our place as consumers to unreasonably high priced levels. I blame not only the banks, but profit motives, which good responsible government would take into consideration. There is nothing anyone could do about that. . . especially those that are blind to it everyday.

========================

You guess.

In a country with the quality of life Canada has this standard is completely unacceptable. It borders on the intolerable in fact, that people are only blind to it.

Acting with genuine sophistication (i.e. living in my parents basement) without conceit , displaying human decency is much different than opposing forces that obey only because of how rich you are.

As a matter of thinking: I've seen pics of beck's/mike's digs. . . are you telling me that taste in lifestyle is anything less 'luxurious' than that of the pics in Jenn Good's webpage?? I believe not. It's contemporary living with the influence of modest urban property. Nothing wrong with that I'm afraid. The definition of the market place is becoming two-fold it's outrageous. That is plain and simple, merk.
============================

My apologies, I thought it served purpose more toward the solicitation/beheading of the former Miss. Jenny Good. Putting all that aside, I Will divulge becky with agreement. . . however, those 'luxury' style condos are nothing more than a contemporary living module. To add the term 'luxury' to it makes it seem less affordable than it sould be to articulate the point I made.

As for the 'food for thought' comment my friend mike gave. . . there is a disparity among real estate/consumer gouging that has to stop. Why not the government that controls the allocation of property (crown) land. It amazes me how ignorant people must be, to subdue their well being to the mainstream line of thinking, that only go so far to jump at whatever cost. There has to be a happier medium, which is to say that people cannot afford to lose control of their spending habits just so they can feel they're playing catch up (i.e. staying in the game. . . ) thus this promotes an unstable market driving up costs virtually needlessly to say the very least.

Real estate agents like Jen are making a crap load of money, just so easy, that it makes the blood thicken. What ounce of intelligence does that of a cocaine loving female persuasuion have; we joke about how high house prices we have lost control over?? I think we beg to differ.

There's a purging among buyers (delluded in their 'investment' as a long term wager. . . ) against sellers (that want to cash in.) The parody is capitalist in ideology, but it refutes the norm that we're paying far to much based on equity. The masses are completely blind to it, and this has to stop immediately.
========================

On a serious side note: it'd be a fantstic day to see a push in government, (Though the thought is wishful at best. . . ), that one would institute a good social policy into regulating the real estate market. After all it is crown property and the government of Canada would be in full control of an agency that would over-see the price of making home ownership more affordale. The benefit would be ten fold, in terms of reducing the risk of potential rising inflation due to a moderate cost of living expense. This would also increase the control of mortages that people would be able to reasonably afford.

Of course this takes vision, but it's definitely doable.

The incredulous hike in the real estate market is of primary concern. Real estate agencies are cornering the market which drive the price of homes to its consumers sky high. This is reaching an intolerable state of social welfare for people in this day and age that simply cannot afford to pay out a 20+ year mortage. It's inconceivable to me, that people acutally pay the prices that they are blind to the eye gouging within the market place.

It's becoming a serious enough issue that this has also become a detrimental effect on potential home owners equity. What this means is what houses are retailing for, most people might not be able to afford.

I simply cannot comprehend the logic behind such ludicrous change in the market right now. In fact, I do not protest it one bit, instead I plan not to sell an arm and my legs for the cost of a new./used. house. People without the supplemental income to purchase a house, are already going into debt without even thinking of the consequence, because they either can't afford to be complacent, but choose to.

The average person today that makes an 'above-average' income, should be capable of paying the interest on mortages. However, this is a cause for the government to levy itself against how much it generates from collectable taxes, as opposed to people of less-than-average incomes that outweigh the balance. This means that the government can profit from a system for houses that sell at a premium rate for above-average-incomes, should also stabalize the prices for moderate priced homes.

When I read stupid articles in the media stating how "Obama wants the nuclear (Iran) program seized immidiately." How hard is that for Obama to pull rank and play hero on such a contensious issue?? It's mind boggling.

=========================
Honestly, I thought I covered the bases pretty nicely with my posts, it wasn't intended to rekindle meaningless debate/banter. (If you look closely enough at what I presented in truth.)

The element of contradiction is perfect for an Obama made-in-germany ad hoc campaign. Such an illusion would only fuel the paper-puppets row upon row of such onlookers. It kind of sickens me to no end actually. If people in general are so repressed that they need an emotional uplifting speech from a sub-par candidate, it could have been anybody, but because it's obama. . . I mean really.

Let's not go there. It's silly. It's pointless.

====================
^Not to burst your obama_bubble corky, but when you think about what you just read. . . in that 'futuristic' sense, which obama has upgraded his candidacy to a premium. What we're talking about is that Napolean Dynmaite 'vote for pedro' speech where he states "I'll make your wildest dreams come true." In terms of evolution, because this is in Germany how it reminds the world of a pro-african american that defies the odds against the fascist rule that stigmatized that country. It's a very clever political afadavit leading the election campaign. I guarantee you that this 'made in Germany' approach is a strategic effort to sway the current right leaning republicans into a dizzying spiral.
They're using Germany as a platform based upon the present day "we're taking back america" from the right-wing hypocrisy.

========================

Obama doesn't make me feel anything. Maybe that's why so many people showed up. Eager to fill that void, from a 'potential' leader that makes full disclosure in the public circle. If the average democracy in this world, such as in this case Berlin, had more to look forward to than a US presidential candidate public appearance. Obama carries very little mystique.

This deserves an ingenious response; simply because our news media neglects to focus on the immoral validation of the war, since they've gone so far to support it, that it leaves the masses to wither in naive ignorance of the truth.

In my view: there is one short message that echos to this history of war in Iraq.

When you know in your heart there is something that should be said, but you don't know what else to say about it - it's probably a nightmare. On the other hand, if there's one thing you'd wish that could happen, it'd be that the perpetrators of such gluttony would come forward and state, "It's all been an accident, we realize what is better after we decided to unilaterally absolve our humanity, thus contribution to the war effort. As such we apologize and regret the actions accountable. Our addmission is that we are sorry and let this not happen in future time." Then we'd measure that sentiment with a statement of our own, that we're not going to punish anyone because we appreciate the solid confession is a step forward in the right direction, leaving us to believe that a new kind of thinking has been found - something we've been unconsciously waiting for yet suspicious it might someday be spontaneous we all agree to it.

Sadly, the reality is not this^. The reality we face is waging war against ourselves because that's what makes the world turn, with money to burn.

However, when you think about it, it's totally unselfish thinking (as in my example of it. . . ) that could save us so much trouble it's almost ridiculous to mention. Honestly, in my mind, the world is a shoestring attach to greatness as in my example suggests, yet - we are either totally completely blind to it as such, yet it's so fucking obvious.
