Prince

Prince believed that learning to play an instrument, especially the guitar, was essential for young artists, not just for skill, but for self-expression and independence. A prodigy himself, he often emphasized that real musicianship comes from hands-on practice, discipline, and curiosity, not shortcuts or trends.

Prince worried that technology could replace musical understanding, arguing that knowing how to physically play an instrument builds a deeper relationship with sound, rhythm, and creativity. For him, the guitar was a tool of freedom - allowing artists to shape their own voice rather than rely on producers or machines. His advocacy reflected a larger philosophy: that music education empowers children to think creatively, trust their instincts, and truly own their art.
