Jealousy in motion

Here is what I know. If a person obviously fits the shoe of a person qualifying as jealous. I have broken it down to two seperate principles in my observations:

1- a person that qualifies as jealous can only prove "to be" jealous of something whether material in perception or not.
2- a person can choose to remain jealous out of their own volition because they "choose" to remain in said head space.
Those are my postulates.
From what I've experienced, the second principle where a person chooses to remain in the "head space" as jelalous is the most common.
The first principle means said jealousy moves from one place to another. It never remains stagnant.
My question is which of the principles is normal. I would argue they are simply universal. - Marco
