It's great acting. But doesn't mean it can't be done differently therefore better than it is. Worse it can't be - ever. Just different if it were more vulnerable = means less of the acting. I want to see what happens internally to someone feeling what they are stuggling with, without having to show me. Keep me guessing. A lot of actors who take lead roles ... act the words. They tell to show rather than take the time to feel and express joy, sorrow, laughter. For example: she could have laughed (in denial) about the brother and her sorrow could still be there with the audience. Maybe she would purge her guilt and then release it honestly. There are choices that go through my head. As the choices I make arise in me, you continue to experiment and it becomes far more authentic rather than a duty.
Our style as artists should not be confused with making harder choices.
How do actors continually perform the same actions? Without which their perceptions may change.
