I don't think he is negating. I think he is debunking. Therefore, negating reality means that the soul exists, though not as a construct or means of what can be questioned. (If the soul exists.)

The point is conducive to how we act. In how we believe things to be true or not.

We can either believe in the soul or not. Same thing applies on an internal level only. The eternal is this form over intelligent conduct. It is born out psychologically. First inwardly. = Ultimately outward. Because, we do not live inside of a vacuum. We live to reveal ourselves.

Point: The soul is untouched. Not exchangeable commodity.
