😳 A woman referred to as "Jane Doe" in court documents has filed a $3.75 million lawsuit alleging she was sexually assaulted by four unnamed former Windsor Spitfires players at a house party in the spring of 1984.

"Jane Doe" said she has been going to therapy several years ago after she began having flashbacks of her alleged assault.

"Jane Doe" wrote in the lawsuit that she was born in 1965 and that in the spring of 1984, "John Doe 1" and other members of the Spitfires held an end-of-season party at his billet home in Tecumseh, Ont. She wrote that she drove to the home and that, while she did not consume much, if any, alcohol or use any recreational dr*gs, she has no memory of the events that took place at the party.

"Jane Doe" wrote that she awoke in a bedroom of the house in the early morning hours.

"She was in a bed and unable to move," the lawsuit said. "Her clothing had been removed"

According to the lawsuit, one additional player from the Spitfires, identified as "John Doe 5," was present throughout the assault but did not s*xually assault

"Jane Doe" while she was conscious.

"The plaintiff has no knowledge of whether 'John Doe 5' s*xually assaulted her prior to her regaining consciousness," the lawsuit said. "The plaintiff's only recollection is of 'John Doe 5' standing in the corner of the room in an emotional state and crying throughout the remainder of the assaults."

"Jane Doe" told TSN that she contacted "John Doe 5" in April 2024 and confronted him about the alleged s*xual assault.

"I'm a pretty good detective and was able to find the guy," she said. "He didn't deny this had happened. He just said he had had a concussion in the past 10 years and his memory was bad and he didn't remember me or remember this happening."

One of the accused former players went on to coach minor hockey.

Wanting to make bank off of being a sexual assualt survivor, is about not being over yourself as a victim.  I have the right to say it.  I am a male survivor.  I don't need validation. I forgave and am better for it.  A lawsuit does nothing.  The truth is it is different for everyone , right.

To be fair the court of public opinion can be deemed as heavy handed when it comes to sexual assault.  But when we appeal to our better understanding, there is a line that was crossed.  Yes?  We all agree sexual assault is wrong.  No? The dilemma is not in the sexual assault.  (This is about revenge.) And it is deemed as acceptable to a point of no return.  40 years after? Let's take a breath, steps are now being taken.  Are these steps legitimate to ruin people's lives.  I don't think it is a viable privilege.

As a child.  My rights as a child were most definitely violated.  As a female being raped the same thing applies.  There is no redemption.

However, to make bank? To make valid accusations? To cry for help because my life was ruined?  That's collateral damage.

I am amicable.  Does that not make me far more relevant in my psychology.

Look at Theron Fleury.  I have called him a piece of shit personally.  He's used manipualtion tactics to filter through his plight as a victim.  He is not a survivor.  He is a culprit.  Perfect use of an example.  He wants to overcompensate for abuse he endured.  Fine.  But don't hide behind that.  Own it.  The stereotype exists.  Deal with it.  Don't fake your way.  Fleury is an asshole!

Also, I treat everyone equally.  Don't think about coming at me.  It's my opinion.  My opinions are stated as facts.  (That much I am aware of.) But if you decide to attack my clearly made and astute statements uncarefully... I won't care but I will try to defend msyelf.  Make a solid argument against why, I think, this woman should NOT be comitting to a lawsuit.

Andrew Shydlowsky she is searching for moral validation.  In my mind, I am guessing here that it has almost absolutely nothing to do with accountability.  If it happens that she was too fearful.  It's understandable.  But clearly, she is in the wrong.  She wants revenge if it means bringing on a lawsuit.  Revenge is the operative motive.  The lawsuit won't classify revenge.  It never does.  It is a sign of weakness.  Strength is out of the picture.  The victim mentality is one of perpetuity.
