I had the following conversation with a friend of mine over facebook re; plutocracy. (Self explanatory) My dialogue is italicized.
hi thanks for the add
privilege is mine.
about the post about plato, I find it ridiculous too
I love you and I mean that.
Thanks um.... you mean like admiration?
absolutely Nothing is born without inertia and so is the quality of love one is its birthmark. I have learned to trust my intuition on such grounds. I refuse to believe genius is something given to only a select few. We all carry a map, we all have it encoded in our DNA as long as I apply it. A lot of people call me crazy for it. Which I have come to accept wholeheartedly.
about the post, (Re; Plato) I find it ridiculous how the statement implies that laws are formulated to ensure good behavior that is to say, every law is made with the exclusive intention of making everyone behave like innocent little bunnies. imo, laws are made for the purpose of smooth and efficient governance
Answer to your query: If I were to lie to you about any of this it would give me no greater pleasure then to write it as you read it face value. So the pursuit of pleasure is what people's subconscious divide has drawn in the Westernized model of history. Therefore our conscious should shift away from the laws. So I agree with you.
thanks also I agree with your previous statements
To clarify: I say Westernization has made us into animals more so than the wild kingdom itself. Reason being, the pursuit of happiness is an American concept. The pursuit of pleasure is a much different variant. If we were to think of pursuing pleasure rather than happiness is what I describe separates stupidity from the average viewer. My point is this Namrata: I speak of love about you. Now in hindsight have have I purged you? How do you or I know for certain. Westernization has been adopted into this, that we are unconscious of it. So my argument is that the pursuit of happiness is in its after-effect the ability to purge other people. (Which is wrong in my view.) And the laws create a prisoners dilemma in such a Plutocracy. This takes great courage to practice as an active participant where I have been victimized for it. "This" = meaning my marriage to independent thinking. Plato would immediately stick his tail between his legs reading everything we just discussed!!
you mean to say the pursuit of happiness makes more selfish than selfless?
Absolutely.
lol
I could not have said it any better than that.
I absolutely agree with you regarding your notions about happiness
And I reciprocate that sentiment through you.
the point is, as long as we are vulnerable to the elevation of happiness we are vulnerable to the depression of sorrow. to escape sorrow we must escape happiness too. not saying we should prohibit ourselves consciously, but we may stop running behind happiness the way little kids run behind butterflies
