This - is an utilitarian perspective but I am not sure how accurate it is. I think the clarification it needs is this: what is utilitarianism is clearly expressed. However, what the principle itself should expose is how we intepret WHAT IS "for the greatest good according to the greatest number". Think about it this way: if we actually apply how Putin is acting with utilitarianism, he can say he is QUANTIATIVELY sacrificing THE LEAST amount for the GREATEST GOOD. (If you invert the principle.) My point of what is the truth is that utilitarianism can lead us to act in immoral ways. What the term implies as it should be, is that the greatest good can be only if that good is for a qualitative approach to reason. That the cause juatifiably meets an ends that good is in fact achieved. And what is not good (evil) is bequeathed.
