I have no idea what rejection is what it looks like nor do I care to be wired in learning from what it may be defined as. But I came up with a brilliant new analogy of all analogies to inspire you.
If (as we are biologically programmed) not looking for sex, is something not wrong with us.
Searching for truth is sex.
Therefore, not searching for truth is like sex. (You get rejected.)
