This comic is bang on.  Americans trust themselves upon which they act on the same premise.  And they allow Trump to happen.  The catch is this... they a-l-l-o-w themsleves to "change their minds" at the same time.  It is completely illogical that they vote then "take it back" because they as voters "didn't mean it".  Not only is it a dishonest view but the manner in everything they have justified as doing, on the dark side of history, speaks to a double standard.

Americans are ridiculous.  It's time we face it once and for all.  Through means of art, rich rich literature, intellectuals in order to abdicate opposite (renouncing) Trumpism.
